Our caring professionals guide clients and families back to success.
What sets Dr. Russell Hyken and Educational + Psychotherapy Services apart from other therapeutic professionals is his comprehensive experience with the best regional and national therapeutic programs. In addition to his training as a psychotherapist, Dr. Hyken draws on his experience as an educator and a school administrator when building a treatment strategy.
Dr. Hyken earned a PhD in psychology from Capella University, an Educational Specialist degree from Webster University, an MA in counseling from Saint Louis University, teaching certification from Washington University and a BA in communications and a BS in marketing from Saint Louis University. After working more than fifteen years as a teacher, school counselor, psychological examiner, and school administrator, Dr. Hyken founded Educational + Psychotherapy Services, LLC, and specializes in psychoeducational evaluations, ADHD assessments, individual/family therapy, and educational therapy.
Dr. Hyken is a happily married father of two boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, and playing tennis. Russell feels strongly about working with and educating parents to help in the tumultuous child-rearing years. He writes articles for family magazines and is a regular contributor on regional news outlets offering expert advice for how to effectively communicate with your family.
Dr. Hyken is licensed in Missouri, Utah, and New Mexico.
